IIn addition to our exceptional Pre-Dance and Recreational programs, we proudly invite dancers to join our award-winning Vestavia Dance Performance Company (VDPC). As part of this elite team, dancers have the opportunity to compete at the local level and attend prestigious conventions, gaining valuable experience and exposure in the dance world.
Our talented VDPC members consistently earn top honors, high-score awards, scholarships, and national recognition. Beyond the stage, we are proud to be recognized as one of the area’s leading studios for training dancers who excel in school-related athletics and performance programs. You’ll find our dancers representing Vestavia and the greater Birmingham area on Jr. High and High School Dance Teams, as Cheerleaders, Drill Team members, and in leadership positions within their schools.
At Vestavia Dance, we encourage every dancer to pursue their passion for the arts while staying engaged in our vibrant community and VHMC programs. Through dedication, teamwork, and a shared love of dance, VDPC helps students grow as performers, athletes, and leaders—both on and off the stage.
At Vestavia Dance, we are proud to offer the Vestavia Dance Performance Company (VDPC) — a dynamic program where dancers as young as five can begin their journey into the exciting world of competitions and conventions. Placement classes are held during our “Level Up” evaluations in the spring, and our teams begin choreography rehearsals for the new seasonin August, kicking off a season filled with teamwork, growth, and unforgettable stage experiences. Our dancers have been recognized nationally with scholarships, top awards, and special recognitions, reflecting the dedication and passion that define our company. Beyond technical excellence, we emphasize team-building and community, ensuring every dancer feels a true sense of belonging.
VDPC is made up of two distinct programs designed to meet dancers where they are in their performance journey:
✨ Allstarz Teams – These dancers compete locally throughout the season, performing at venues such as the Alabama Theatre, BJCC, and other regional competitions. Allstarz is the perfect fit for those looking to gain stage experience and develop their performance skills in a fun, team-oriented environment.
? Platinum Teams – Our elite-level dancers who represent Vestavia Dance at both local and out-of-town conventions and competitions in cities such as Atlanta, Nashville, and Montgomery. Platinum dancers are our most advanced performers, committed to refining their artistry and technique at the highest level.
Throughout the year, VDPC members build lasting friendships through fun events like holiday parties, our Big/Lil’ “Sidekick” program, and an end-of-year banquet celebrating their achievements. Though the program is both challenging and rewarding, our VDPC dancers truly have a blast all season long — growing not only as artists but as teammates and leaders.
