Vestavia Dance Performance Company
In addition to our Pre-Dance and Recreational programs, we proudly invite dancers to join our award-winning Vestavia Dance Performance Company (VDPC). This elite group of dancers represents our studio at local competitions and conventions throughout the Southeast.
Our talented dancers consistently earn top awards, scholarships, and national recognition. We’re honored to be recognized as one of the leading studios for training student-athletes—many of our dancers also excel as members of Vestavia and Birmingham-area junior high and high school dance teams, cheer squads, and drill teams, often serving in leadership roles within their schools.
At Vestavia Dance, we believe in developing well-rounded performers who not only share a love of the arts but also stay active and involved in our VHMC and local community.
The VDPC Experience
Dancers as young as six can begin their journey into the exciting world of competitions and conventions through VDPC. Placement are held during our “Level Up” Evaluations, with rehearsals beginning in August. Each season, our dancers enjoy team-building experiences, a strong sense of belonging, and plenty of stage time! We typically attend 3–4 regional competitions at venues like The Alabama Theatre and BJCC, along with out-of-town conventions in Atlanta, Nashville, and Montgomery.
Teams, Fun & Friendship
Our company is organized into various levels Newbies, Petites, Team, Allstarz, and Platinum – ensuring there’s a perfect place for every dancer. Beyond performances, dancers enjoy holiday parties, our “Sidekick” program, and an end-of-year banquet that celebrates their hard work and growth. While the program is challenging and commitment-driven, our VDPC dancers have a blast all year long—growing as artists, athletes, and teammates.

The Vestavia Dance Performance Company (VDPC) is proudly led by Director Angel White and Assistant Director Claire Kendrick, whose combined experience, expertise, and dedication have shaped our program into one of the most respected in the region.
With a shared passion for dance education and performance excellence, Angel and Claire bring years of professional training, choreography, and mentorship to every rehearsal and performance. They are committed to nurturing each dancer’s individual potential — guiding them to grow in technique, confidence, artistry, and teamwork.
Known for their kindness, encouragement, and hands-on leadership, Angel and Claire create a positive, motivating environment where dancers feel valued and inspired. Their approach balances high expectations with genuine care, helping students not only achieve their goals on stage but also develop lifelong skills that extend far beyond the studio.
Under their direction, VDPC continues to thrive — earning awards, scholarships, and national recognition while building a community centered on excellence, friendship, and joy in dance.
