We love the sounds of tap and clogging at Vestavia Dance!
Beginning level classes in TAP focus on learning basic rhythm patterns starting with simple combinations that include shuffles, flaps, stomps, riffs, pullbacks, etc. Advanced levels combine these in more complex rhythm and style. Clogging is a fun extension of tap, coming from Folk dancing and taught in a modern form, using shoes with double taps.
Both our Tap and Clogging classes perform in the recital – and we have had some amazing COMPETITIVE teams, as well! We emphasize clarity of rhythm and sound, and the development of style through the use of the whole body, while teaching our dancers great musicality!
